Preschool for Multiple Intelligences ('PMI') adopts Care Corner's 'Jubilee – A New Beginning!' fund-raising project as its charity cause for 2014

Organising a series of two fund raising events and an Annual Concert, private preschool - PMI raised a total of $50,000 through the efforts of its parents, children and staff in support of Care Corner's Jubilee programme. The programme aims to help disadvantaged families cancel their arrears through a financial assistance of up to $2,000 per family, in addition to matching them with volunteer befrienders to journey through the challenges they are facing.

A large portion of the funds was raised through a dinner event and an art auction held on 25 October 2014 at La BarcaRistorante and Wine Bar located at Goodman Arts Centre which saw a turnout of 120 people. Art pieces from children attending PMI, as well as artwork from renowned artists were auctioned amidst an exciting atmosphere.

The following Saturday, PMI held a carnival entitled: 'Children for Children' at its East Campus, which attracted a turnout of over 200 parents and children. Enthusiastic participants, armed with their 'passports' participated in the variety of games, food, and sale of educational toys and learning materials – all of which were prepared by the preschool and its supportive parents.

Funds were also raised through an art sale of the children's work at PMI's annual Year End Celebration and Concert on 15 November 2014 at the East Campus.

"Every year we try to do some good for the young, the elderly and families -- because we can. The little we do could make a big difference in the lives of those who need it most!"
- Dr Khoo Kim Choo, Founder of PMI
